Movie Plot:
A second-year student film project in Hindi titled “Laatri,” which translates to “Lottery,” – directed by Evelyn Jude Rodrigues.
A mother and daughter duo fight the everyday challenges of ragpickers, living in the slums of Bhopal. Shanu dreams big of winning the lottery every day and spends her hard-earned money on lottery tickets, whereas Meena is hellbent on showing her mother the bitter truth of their lives. One such lottery ticket, however, is a result of something neither Shanu nor Meena would have expected.
